19Seventy Free
ART DIRECTION
19 Seventy Free is a visual EP celebrating the complexities of black love and artistic freedom with music as its primary voice. I collaborated with Darien and the Creative team at Burgundy Visuals to contribute art direction and asset creation. The short film made its world premier at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival, where it was featured in two premier categories: Art & Soul and the Juneteenth selections.
I created a range of assets for the album, including the album cover artwork (found on all major music platforms), packaging design, typography, signage and costume design for multiple music videos. Along with printed assets, I was responsible for visualizing and creating an animation* as part of the concluding visual experience.
*Due to IMDb regulations, I will only be able to display the film upon film festival releases.

Various stills of the film’s animated scene. The animation was all illustrated by hand and then manipulated digitally.
Various film stills with pieces I created to support the scenes.
